The GCP Certificate program provides pre K-12 educators and school staff with the knowledge to identify what supports or impedes healthy, resource efficient and environmentally sustainable learning spaces. The course and exam help participants recognize, adopt, and implement practices that keep teachers and students focused, alert and ready to learn. The program will consist of a one-day workshop to cover the basics of the program. The North Texas Chapter will be offering Chapter member pricing ($40) to all who participate. This program will kickoff when we have 10 confirmed attendees - invite your colleagues! Let us know you are interested at mmceuen@usgbcnorthtexas.org.

DISD No Idling! Campaign
Date TBA

The City of Dallas offers one free anti-idling sign to schools located within the City of Dallas. We are looking for a Project Captain to coordinate volunteers to call Dallas schools, gain permission to request the sign on their behalf, and pick-up and deliver the signs to the campus. Sign posts are 12 feet long! Volunteers delivering signs would need appropriate transportation. For more information on the program, read here. If interested in volunteering, please send an e-mail to Michelle at mmceuen@usgbcnorthtexas.org.
